Belden Village Mall is still rocking it. I will take a physical shopping experience over online shopping at Amazon any day. It has a great food court with a variety of choices. The smoothies are so delicious. I get banana, chocolate and peanut butter usually. But recently had blueberry, strawberry and raspberry. The Cleaners are constantly wiping off tables and cleaning. The bathrooms at the food court need better attention and should be cleaned multiple times a day. Macy's looks great despite needing remodeled. It is very clean despite constant traffic. The bathrooms are very clean and are handicapped accessible. For those unable to use the escalator, there is an elevator to go to the 2nd floor. The dressing rooms are clean. People need to remember that today's malls are not the same as in the 1980s and 1990s. They have to adapt in order to generate reasonable revenue. So this means streamlining many things which means fewer open cash registers. There is a noticeable mix of ages of the workers, as well as workers from different Ethnicities.

The mall is beautiful. It's a cute, little classic mall. The food is amazing, and the mall is very well-organized and clean for the most part. It is wheelchair accessible and does have family restrooms and kid areas. There's a big, open parking area and beautiful landscaping.

In town for the NFL Black College Football Classic between Virginia State University and Benedict College and had some time to spare so we decided to check out the Mall. It is very clean and seemed to be pretty safe, with no empty storefronts, which was impressive considering today’s retail environment. Dillard’s and Macy’s are the major anchors with most of the smaller boutique names you find in most malls, along with a Chili’s and a Mexican restaurant, both of which are outside the mall. It was OK to kill some time, but, unfortunately, the selection of merchandise was very limited and we came away empty handed.

Mall has seen a lot of renovations in recent years. New floors, new entrances, new anchor stores, etc. a lot of stores left during covid but the mall was packed during the Christmas rush. Not a big food court selection but this is one of the few malls that will be around for years to come! It’s in a great shopping area. Plenty of stores and food near by if you can’t find what you are looking for in the mall

First things first this place is very dirty. They must not have cleaning folks anymore. Also all of the empty store fronts. Wow just wow.
