One of the major parks of the city, The Gallatin County Regional Park is a great place for a family picnic or for exploring nature in solitude. The park is home to a beautiful lake that's suitable for swimming, and the adjoining wilderness is ideal for a hike or for an early morning run. Gently flowing streams, chirping of birds and scenic vistas make this park a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers. During winters, the park is covered in a carpet of snow making it a perfect playground for recreational, snow sports.

We needed to kill a bit of time so we walked around here for a bit. Very clean, nice walkable paths, pretty views. Also the dog park appeared to be very well used as there were several dogs running around. The two ponds were nice, both had ducks in them and you can swim in one of the ponds.

This is a nice dog park with gravel trails. Plenty of places to dump the waste in bags that are provided. All of the dogs and owners were well behaved. It was a great find for a dog on a road trip. If it is hot - there isn't a lot of shade outside of a small pavilion.

Beautiful local park, large dog area and trails. Well maintained even in the snow. Great sledding hill, kids had a blast. We even saw men ice fishing on the ponds! Best is, its totally free, bring your own sled!

Too bad I am too tall to enjoy the Dinosaur Playground. Still, I am a bit too old. However, if I was young, I would enjoy the Dinosaur Playground. Kids loved it. Wow! Parents had seats and there were picnic tables as well. It is huge and no children should miss that.

There are several parks in the system but all seems to be well maintained and enjoyable. Jogging, hiking and water sports are popular.
