When I enrolled in acupuncture school in 1999, I had been working as a modern dancer in NYC for 10 years, and this greatly informed my approach to the medicine. I was, and still am, fascinated by the body- how it moves, what it knows, what residue it carries from our lived experiences. This has been my way in for many years, but more recently, I have been bringing in aspects of alchemical acupuncture into my practice through long-term study with my mentor and teacher, Lorie Dechar.
