Filling in the void left by closure of Club 3B, Hollie Huthman and Marty Watson have opened The Shakedown, giving Bellingham a much needed music venue. An interesting thing about Shakedown is that everything right from food served here to the music played lends a local feel to it; volunteers having in-depth knowledge about the local music history and young musicians make for a friendly staff. Playing a dual role, bartenders here not only control the bar, but have raided the DJ booth too, blending the good music with equally soothing drinks. You can sit back in the bar and enjoy the concert or try your hand at pool or pinball and similar games.
