tripadvisorOur group had a tour of the award winning library, built after the flood of 2008 that destroyed all the adult and reference books, but spared kids books. Lot of innovative ideas in the library including a green roof and automated book sorting. Award winner.
MoreThis is our favorite place especially when the weather is bad. We all enjoy (kids and adults) here. They have great activities for all ages. Plus, they have a nursing room.
MoreThis is a new library, built after a catasrophic flood KO'd the prior building. I have attended conferences & meetings here & enjoyed good food at the cafe. The roof has a nice green space where you can sit & view the city.
MoreNice people who work here. There are even treadmills to walk on while you read or listen to a book, as well as a coffee shop when you enter.
MoreThis relatively new building houses not only books and media materials, but has several meeting spaces. Various sizes are available - free of charge. You can sign-up online. They are also in cooperation with the Marion, Hiawatha and Ladd Libraries. You can reserve books from any library and pick them up at the location of your choice. The Greyhound Cafe is a nice place to get a cup of coffee, a smoothie or a sandwich. There is a roof top venue, but I have not been up there.
