tripadvisorWas recommended this shop to hire a bike by a friend who uses it on a regular basis. They hire out all sort of bikes (road/hybrid/Ladies). Bike was well maintained and supplied with a bag with various stuff to do minor repairs for bike.Shop is a little off the beaten track and is cheaper than most shops. a little rough around the edges but worth it.
MorePro tune up, tire, break pads, handle bar wrap, gear cable, all less than $180. I traveled here from Palo Alto to save money and it seems they consider quality over quantity.
MoreGreat Experience. I bought a Kona mountain bike there earlier this year and it worked out perfect for me. Plenty of bikes to look at and try. 3 store levels !I also got my u-lock, lights and helmets on the spot at a discount. Then I had to move to Hawaii for a new job and decided to take my bike along. I went back to Columbus Cyclery and in 24 hours, they had my bike disassembled and neatly packed in a box. I flew with it as extra luggage, put it back together, and I now enjoy riding it in Hawaii. Very good experience for me.
MoreWe had a great guide, nice bicycles, a leisure trip through San Francisco towards the Golden Gate bridge. Across the Golden gate Bridge and onto Sausalito. The guide Tway?? Stopped wherever you wanted to take pictures and at every scenic overlook. We took our photographs guide us across the bridge and did a super job. This was a highlight of our San Francisco visit.
MoreGot the bike tour as part of an Alcatraz package (they were sold out so very lucky to find these) - bikes were great, safe and smooth, safety helmets provided; locks provided and the seats are comfy. All the guys in the store were super helpful - Richard the tour guide was really informative and went out of his way to show us over the bridge via some really pretty residential areas. Took us down to Saucilito where we then went independently to have lunch and caught the ferry back to Fishermans Wharf.
