The Rose Garden is awesome when in bloom. Large open space to kick a ball or run around. A huge covered pavilion with ice rink in the winter. We go with chairs sometimes in the shade there. Good ideal for a stroll or bike. Several events big and small take place throughout the year.

WooHoo - no big deal. Go there, have fun, have a picnic, just don't go too close to the bus stop nearby as it has some scary characters

Great area to enjoy tons of grass and many events are well done at this park. The pavilion and facilities at the South-East corner are also well done. Overall a great asset for the city, and a good place to chill or attend something. I have seen issues due to crime, aggressive people, and have seen police response. Be mindful in the South-East corner especially at night.

Weather attending a free Jazz Concert in the Summer or Ice Skating in the Pavilion in the winter, Roosevelt Park is small but a worthy stop. Encompassing about one city block, there is a fun walking path, a beautiful rose garden, a senior center and a park house. There is a parking lot, it is handicap accessible, family friendly and easy to find. Grab some food from a nearby restaurant and have a picnic on the lawn. Dogs and kids are welcome.
