tripadvisorOnly politically correct books are carried. Recommendations for books by superb authors such as Thomas Sowell are ignored.
MoreI discovered this library when I put a book on hold through the Poudre Library System. This location, near grocery, restaurants and shops is a good concept for parking availability and convenience. I don't know why some reviews complained about book return drop off or parking. We live in Colorado, get out of your car along the curb with your emergency lights on and walk a few feet to the return drop off slot and get real folks, park across the street if you can't find up close parking and walk. I love to see families with children in a library, just wish the noise level and running around would be monitored with other library patrons n mind. Sometimes the conversations are louder than expected in a library and wonder if 'whisper' is no longer a thing. I heard one library staff member tell a woman in the table next to me that no sleeping was allowed in the library. The woman had her laptop with piles of reference books next to her. I suppose she put her head down for a moment BUT the way the library staff member addressed her was of consternation. In this racially charged climate, I can't help but think that because the woman was 'of color' the delivery of that comment carried undertones of prejudice. Maybe sensitivity training for all staff members would help. They seem to handle noisy children with their parents in a more forgiving way than they do to our mixed race population.
MoreIf you go just once - you will be back - convenient parking - great checkout - great story hour. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would
MoreUnusual location for a library...alongside a mall area, and upstairs in a modern building. Rooms to use are great, and they have good programs!
MoreThe Council Tree Library is a hot spot for people. So many go there for events, relaxation, study! It is a large library with lots of choices. I send my husband there to work so mom can have some time alone at home. Great place!
