tripadvisorI have traveled extensively and I am still enamored of the beautiful terrain and the wildlife I saw as well as my family in the Yellowstone National Park and the Grand Teton National Park and surrounding areas. Mr. Mark Taylor is the finest helicopter pilot I have ever met and the experience we had to see hundreds of miles of terrain was breathtaking. The professionalism we observed and the safety that was demonstrated had to be noted. We were able to take incredible photography which will be treasured for a lifetime. Beauty and safery combined is the best you can receive and Mark delivered that.
MoreWhen we planned our epic vacation to the Montana and Wyoming area for the solar eclipse we decided we wanted to take a helicopter ride. Doing a little research we found Rocky Mountain Rotors and immediately decided it was the place for us. We took our photography expedition on a Robinson Raven II R44 helicopter with John Hendley at the helm. John was an incredible host and an excellent pilot. The fly through Cascade Canyon was indescribable and I never thought I could be speechless about anything, but this entire trip was just amazing.
MoreI have seen a lot of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks from the ground. Being able to see them and a whole lot more from the air is a must-do experience. Randy picked us up at the West Yellowstone Airport. He explained the safety and viewing features of the helicopter (we were in a Bell 429) and then took us on an amazing 90-minute aerial tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. In addition to telling us some history of the parks, he pointed out herds of different animals and a couple of solo ones. We saw things you won't see from the ground unless you are an expert hiker and rock climber. As a commercial pilot, I will attest to his flying ability and the safety of this operation. He made sure everyone in my group was comfortable at all times. This is an amazing experience that is worth having.
MoreOur pilot, John Hendley, made this trip unforgettable. This was a first class experience from my initial contact with Mark, emails with Laura, and arranging the flight with John! How lucky were we to have the perfect weather to see Yellowstone and the Tetons. We were able to watch a grizzly bear feasting on a bull elk that had just recently been taken down and have herds of elk dashing, mountain goats scrambling and a magnificent view of the Grand Prismatic with all of the fall colors as the perfect back drop. Great 40th anniversary gift to ourselves!
MoreMark was helpful from the time I called to reserve to the very end of our trip. This was by far my favorite part of our week long Yellowstone Trip. You get a different perspective from the helicopter that you can't get while hiking or driving. It's not cheap but it is so worth it. I highly recommend RMR to anyone looking for something fun to do while in Yellowstone. We ended up taking the longer tour of the park and the Grand Tetons. WOW! We have so many wonderful pictures. We even stopped to re-fuel and have brunch at a local restaurant by the Grand Tetons. Mark was awesome. He helped us find wildlife and truly have a wonderful trip.
