The Woodward Hill Cemetery is a historic cemetery that was established way back in 1852. It is also known as the final resting place of President of the United States, James Buchanan. Included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, it is a fine example of the rural style cemetery that was prevalent in that era.

tripadvisorA quick stop before visiting the James Buchanan home of Wheatland. The gravesite is difficult to find, so look for the flag by the chapel. The gravesite itself is well maintained and was worth a stop.
MoreThe only reason to visit this cemetery is the grave of President James Buchanan. The grace is nice and surrounded by nice flowers. The remaining part of the cemetery is… well it’s not well maintained. It’s also difficult to find the entrance and not in the safest of neighborhoods Go in daylight be aware of your surroundings get your photos and depart
MoreNot that far from his house is this cemetery where the 15th President James Buchanan is buried. It's not that hard to find his grave. Also buried here is Major General John Reynolds who died during the 1st day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
MoreWoodland Hills cemetery is the burial place of President James Buchanan. You can ride by and park in front of his burial plot. It's behind the old red chapel.
MoreThe cemetery needs more signage - they could help the average visitor locate the president's grave easier, but we didn't give up - we found it! So glad we came!
