tripadvisorFlagstaff is an awesome place. It has a young vibe (it is a college town) and trendy shops. Snowbowl the ski hill is close by and th gondola provides fantastic views. Day tripping to the Grand Canyon is easy to do the south rim. Walnut Canyon is nearby and gives historical information about the Cliff dwellings and the life of the time.
MoreI could tell you I am big boned, but the fact is, I am fat. Not horribly fat, just not svelte. This store sizes people up when they walk through the door and help the skinnies and ignore the bigger gals. It's happened more than once, and won't happen again since I now know that they have nothing for me anyway. They do have cute stuff...you just have to be the right size.
MoreThis store is a perfect example of why the big box stores continue to lead the way. The Sales ladies are pushy and micromanage the limited 3 items to a dressing room. A few nice jeans but nothing noteworthy. Shirts are all very J. Jill style but not as nice. And non-refundable returns...exchange only because their cash register cannot handle returns and they can't handle telling you that this is their policy. You must read about it on a small placard that sits neatly on the counter in front of a two way glass mirror and if you didn't see it then shame on you. I wanted to return a pair of pants within one week of purchase, unworn, with all the tags (they put two of every tag) and the sales lady threatened to follow me out to my car with the jeans I wanted to leave for the manager/owner. When I returned three days later they treated me horribly reluctantly offering to refund my money within a few weeks. Not wanting to drag out my experience with the proprietor for several weeks I was forced to leave with jeans in hand. Not the best purchase but I will never return. Creepy place that does not promote the shopping experience. They also would not honor sale prices within the week of purchase. Sagebrush, Eddie Bauer or chicos are much better options and shoppers are valued and respected. A boutique owner and its employees would be well served to treat customers the same as the other big retailers and if the cost is too high then I wish these local proprietors would find something else to entertain their time and $$ so they can stop wasting mine!
MoreLoved the service. Just went in to look and ended up buying jeans. Fun store to shop. Great jean options and many other great clothes. Just love shopping at small businesses for the personal service. Takes Amex as that is always a good thing. Would of probably spent more time but store was closing so did not want to keep employees longer.
MoreI have been a jean girl since I was a child but finding the right pair of jeans has always been a source of frustration for me. I found this jean retreat when I was visiting Flagstaff and having lunch at the Pita Jungle. There is no place like this in Scottsdale. They measure you and analyze your body shape. Then they suggest the jeans that are the most comfortable and flattering for your body type. They even do complimentary alterations to make sure the jeans fit properly. I have now worked with the owner Andrea and the store manager Hannah on multiple occasions. I refuse to buy jeans anywhere else now because the quality of the denim they carry is the best I've ever owned and you can tell the difference. The customer service is top notch as well. I'm not a tiny girl either. I have had a few years of stressful binge eating which has resulted in some pretty big weight gains. I was so relieved to know that they cater to every body type and even at my current size I can still find comfort in a great pair of jeans. Big bonus- They carry Brighton Jewelry, my absolute favorite accessories! I am tired of the old fashioned generic shopping malls where you get lost in a sea of all the wrong styles and clothes. Boutique shopping is the best and Flagstaff Jean Company didn't compromise quality for more profit. Thank you for making this customer very happy!
