St Innocent Cathedral in Anchorage is your typical Russian Orthodox place of worship. Architecturally, the building is stunning. Inside, the iconography is still a work in progress.The membership is very welcoming and friendly.If you’ve not attended a Russian Orthodox Liturgy, the entire service is chanted / sung. There are no pews so expect to stand for the entire service. The choir was amazing with its 4 part harmony.I would highly recommend a visit to St. Innocent Cathedral when in Anchorage, whether or not you’re an Orthodox Christian.
