Reviews
tripadvisorI stayed here for two concerts at the ball arena, and I paid $528 per night, making this my most expensive hotel stay ever. for that price, I expect more and more attention to detail.First, the good points. It is a 10- minute walk to Ball Arena. There are restaurants you can walk to, although some require crossing a busy intersection (with crosswalks). The rooms are spacious. and the desk is great for getting work done. There was a sofa in the room. The room was modern decor. The front desk staff was very nice. The bed was comfy. and it had a nice comforter. There was lots of drawers to store things. and counters to place your stuff. I could not hear outside noise. $50 a night for parking the car is worth serious consideration. However, it’s the quickest valet I have experienced in any hotel. The rooms are not cleaned daily, and with the price paid, they sure ought to be. The one time during my for stay that my room was clean, they did not remove all the trash. I went to the front desk and then I had to leave my trash can outside the door because no housekeepers were still working. There is a tiny bottle of lotion and one make-up remover pad that was never replenished. I was woken up early both mornings. There was some kind of plumbing noise which sounded like someone banging on the bottom of a trash can, but I verified it was coming out of the drain of my shower somehow. The heating and air conditioning control was lit up at night and there was also a smoke detector above the bed which flash green lights. So bring an eyemask. There was no safe in the room which was also disappointing for this level of hotel. There is no restaurant within the building and the one across the courtyard, the brew pub, has a very limited menu. Would not recommend. The fitness center has a lot of mirrors, but it’s actually pretty small. I went in there and there was two other people trying to work out and we were getting in each other’s way and fighting over the dumbbells . No free bottled water was provided in the room, and the water bottles in your room were $7 apiece. I did not see coffee availability in the lobby after breakfast time, they had it cordoned off. Other than the fitness room, I didn’t see any amenities I would be reluctant to stay here again just because of the price/value.
MoreGood size, clean rooms. James in valet was fantastic.
MoreI almost don’t want to tell you about how great this place is! I love it so much, I hope I’ll always get to stay here! Location, staff, and facilities are top notch! Love the front desk “kids”, love the building (LEED certified), love the location (walking distance to great downtown attractions).
