The restaurant offers a fresh spin on pizza classics, using local ingredients and seasonal offerings to come up with original pizza combinations. Beer is an integral part of the menu here, and each pizza is thoughtfully paired with a recommended craft brew. The alfresco patio is a popular summer venue and welcomes families, friends, and couples alike. Even though this restaurant is named after a town in the region of Emilia-Romagna, the focus inside the wood-fired ovens is definitely Neapolitan. Award-winning Birmingham chef James Lewis creates not only delicious pies, but his kitchen makes its own pasta daily. For instance, the spaghetti with lamb sausage, mint, local heirloom tomatoes and parsley is novel, yet simple and the Brown Butter Poached Lobster Risotto is extraordinary.
