The Alabama School of Mathematics and Science is our state's only fully public and residential high school for sophomores, juniors, and seniors seeking advanced studies in math, science, and the humanities. Tuition, room, and board are free and funded by the state of Alabama. ASMS is a school for students who are ready for an accelerated learning environment that challenges them to maximize their potential. ASMS is set apart by its college-level academic rigor, residential learning environment, leadership opportunities, and research focus for students not available anywhere else in the state. ASMS has a proven track record of improving students' educational outcomes from enrollment to graduation -- standardized test scores, grades, college admissions offers, scholarship packages, etc. Thus, students graduate from ASMS excelling on every level, inside and outside the classroom, and the school has a transformative impact on student success for college and career. Our 30+ years of graduates are a testimony to this success as they lead the way in their fields. We proudly say that ASMS is educating Alabama's next generation of leaders, scholars, and innovators.
