Microsoft 365, Outlook and ChatGPT users report outages Monday. Here's what we know.

Microsoft 365 and Outlook experienced outages Monday, beginning around 10:15 a.m., according to Downdetector

The Microsoft 365 Status account on X said it would look into the issue reports Monday morning and confirmed an hour later that it was experiencing difficulties.

"We've confirmed that users may experience degraded functionality with various Exchange Online functionalities," the post read. "We're reviewing service telemetry and diagnostic data to isolate the source of the issue."

The Microsoft 365 outage peaked around 12:48 p.m. with 2,044 reports, according to Downdetector . The Outlook outage peaked about an hour and a half earlier with 6,015 reports, according to Downdetector.

Microsoft wasn't the only widespread outage Monday. Downdetector reported 1,405 OpenAI outages at its peak around 12:15 p.m. 

ChatGPT posted on X acknowledging the outage around 1:30 p.m.

"User across multiple subscription plans may be unable to start or continue tasks in ChatGPT Work," the OpenAI website read at 2 p.m. "We are continuing work on implementing a mitigation."

At 3:05 p.m., ChatGPT posted on X that it was running again.

The OpenAI website continued to label ChatGPT as having a partial outage until 3:30 p.m. when it updated that "all impacted services have now fully recovered."
