Google Slashes Price of Its AI Plus Plan, Adds 200GB of Storage
Google's been shaking up its AI plans ever since last month's I/O event . In its latest move, the company has slashed the price of its AI Plus tier and doubled the included storage.
The plan launched in January at $7.99 per month with 200GB of cloud storage. Five months later, its price has been reduced to $4.99 per month, and storage has been bumped to 400GB.
"Unlock tools to boost your productivity and creativity—and get more space to store your photos, videos, and projects—for less," Vikas Kansal, Google's AI subscriptions lead, said on X .
The new price is live on Google's website for new customers; existing customers will see it on their next renewal. Storage upgrades will be "rolling out over the next few days," Kansal says.
The AI Plus plan is the cheapest Google AI Plan. It provides double the usage limits on Gemini compared with the free plan and adds the AI assistant to the side panel of Google apps such as Sheets, Docs, and Drive. You get priority access to new Gemini features as well as access to some popular features like Deep Research and Gemini Live .
The full list of features is available on Google's website . If you're wondering whether to choose the AI Plus or the $20 AI Pro plan, our comparison should help you decide. Last month, Google also added a cheaper AI Ultra tier and bundled YouTube Premium Lite into the AI Pro plan.
