Pregnancy comes with so many emotions, thoughts, worries, and new experiences. When I was pregnant with my first, I'd have daily questions and worries swirling in my head: Why is my body doing this new thing? Is this a normal symptom? What do I need to do to prepare? What's that baby doing inside?
Luckily, we live in the information age. There are plenty of apps at your fingertips to help you through each and every stage of pregnancy. A 2025 study found that pregnant people typically use pregnancy apps for health information, pregnancy counseling, decision-making, and pregnancy care management. We set out to find some of the best pregnancy apps out there. Here's what we found.
Pregnancy Baby Tracker - What to Expect
A decade or two ago, as soon as you announced your pregnancy, you'd be handed a copy of What to Expect When You're Expecting . The trusted pregnancy brand now offers a pregnancy tracker app, which keeps you informed about your baby's week-by-week growth and development, connects you to virtual community groups based on your due date as well as community groups based on your location, interests, medical conditions, and more, provides search tools to guide you to answers about pregnancy, parenting, and fertility; and offers access to thousands of medically accurate articles and personal stories written by parents and parents-to-be.
Once baby is here, you'll be able to track your child's sleep schedule and growth, get advice on feedings, and get information on development and parenting tips up through toddlerhood.
BabyCenter Pregnancy Tracker
The BabyCenter app can help you keep track of your pregnancy with 3D fetal development videos and a pregnancy calendar to remind you of your prenatal appointments and to jot down your symptoms. You'll get access to pregnancy and health advice, become part of an online community where you can talk to other expecting parents and meet people with due dates close to yours, and get help with baby names at the Baby Names Shuffle feature.
Perhaps the best part of this app is the free rewards program, where users can redeem points for exclusive products from popular brands like BabyBjorn, Dr. Brown's, Bodily, and more - just by using the app. This is another app that you can use into babyhood and beyond after your baby makes their big debut.
Amila Baby Tracker
A 2024 study of pregnancy apps found the Amila app to be particularly usable and preferred by pregnant women. Users can keep tabs on everything from their weight to baby kicks to contractions with this app. Each week, you'll see how much your baby has grown. (Are they the size of a plum this week, or have they graduated to an apple?) You'll get access to kegel exercise advice to strengthen the pelvic floor before and after labor, daily pregnancy tips, and help with symptoms.
And the app doesn't leave you behind once baby is born. You'll be able to log feedings even down to the detail of which breast you last fed on, take note of baby's naps, and track your little one's weight and growth.
The Bump App
The Bump's Pregnancy and Baby Tracker App tracks your pregnancy and baby growth (via 3D growth simulations and the ever-popular weekly fruit comparisons), but there's so much more available to you on this app. Weekly videos from experts show you what to expect each week of your pregnancy, and The Bump's award-winning editorial staff provides daily content specific to your phase of pregnancy, chock-full of need-to-know info about what to expect, such as how to address morning sickness, must-haves for your hospital bag, and much more.
The baby name feature will provide you with ideas for your little one's name, as well as the meaning and background of each name. You'll get access to a kick counter, information about your prenatal appointments, such as important questions you may want to remember to ask your doctor or midwife, and seamless integration with your phone calendar, so you'll never forget an appointment. You can upload pregnancy photos and baby photos to document your bump growth as well as baby's first year. But what we like most is that you can create your baby shower registry right in the app. Add products from Amazon, Target, Walmart, and more, and integrate registries from other retailers to manage what has been purchased.
Sprout Pregnancy Tracker
This app offers a ton: a week-by-week pregnancy timeline and weekly insights on what to expect, a 3D display of your baby's development, a health and symptom tracker, weight tracking, a kick counter and contraction timer, a pregnancy journal that you can download as a keepsake PDF, a Visual Birth Plan Generator, and pregnancy checklists to help you organize everything from your nursery shopping list to your hospital bag. This one also made it onto the list of the most usable pregnancy apps compiled by BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth .
You'll get reminders about doctor's appointments, get updates about how much of your checklists you've completed, to-do reminders, and more. This is a dream app for the mom-to-be who just wants to get organized.
Pregnancy+
Watch your baby's growth in 3D, keep up to date with pregnancy milestones, and keep organized with to-do lists and a hospital bag packing list. You'll have access to a kick counter, a contraction timer, and advice and information from experts about pregnancy, symptoms, birth, and mom and baby health. Users can join virtual communities based on due date, mother's age, and more. It'll be your take-everywhere pregnancy companion from pink lines to labor day.
