Did Apple raise iCloud+ prices? Yes, but only in certain places
Apple has hiked a whole lot of prices as of late, from physical products to subscription plans .
Now a bunch of people have just been hit with higher storage prices.
MacRumors reports that Apple has increased the cost of iCloud+ in eight countries. Those countries are:

Japan

New Zealand

Nigeria

The Philippines

Turkey

Vietnam
9to5Mac notes that Laos, Mauritius, and the Republic of Congo have also been added to the list of regions where iCloud+ upgrades "are charged in U.S. dollars (USD) with prices that may be slightly higher due to the Value Added Tax (VAT)."
The iCloud+ price increases seen in those eight countries range from between 11 percent to as much as 55 percent, MacRumors states. This variety in increase is most likely adjusted pricing stemming from currency fluctuations.
According to Trusted Reviews , this move has no impact on Apple's 5 GB free storage allowance. Customers with the iCloud+ plan can expect to see the higher charges reflected in the next billing cycle.
The company offers iCloud plans as a way to "[keep] your information safe, automatically backed up, and available anywhere you go." Custom email domains and other features — included " Hide My Email " — are available depending on which plan you get.
Apple still has yet to provide a reason for these price increases as of the publishing of this report.
