Key Points

  • Save recipes from food sites, Instagram and TikTok in one organized place.

  • Personalized picks and curated collections make meal planning easier.

  • Cook mode keeps ingredients and directions easy to view while you cook.

As a food editor, I'm constantly finding new recipes in a variety of places, and up until the launch of the MyRecipes website, I didn't have the best system in place to save them. If I found a recipe on a website like EatingWell , the recipe tab could be forever open on my phone until I made it. But when the MyRecipes website launched, it changed the way I save recipes.

I've gone from leaving tabs open on my phone, keeping screenshots in my photo library and pasting links in my Notes app to simply clicking the heart on the recipes I want to save from all my favorite sites, like EatingWell , Food & Wine , Serious Eats  and more. And after saving each recipe, I can quickly sort it into a collection, like "Soups" or "Dinners," where I can find it later. MyRecipes has made it so easy for me to organize recipes and have them handy when I'm meal planning or cooking.

And while I love using the MyRecipes site, I've been wishing that I could just open an app on my phone and find all my recipes there. Well, guess what? MyRecipes now has an app !

All Your Favorite Recipes in One App

The free app has all the benefits of the MyRecipes website, like saving recipes from my favorite food sites, browsing themed recipe collections and organizing recipes I've saved into my own collections. But the real gem is that the MyRecipes+ paid membership lets me add all the recipes I see on social media.

On TikTok and Instagram, it's as easy as using the send feature (as if you were going to share the post with a friend) to "send" the recipe to the MyRecipes app. The app will create a new recipe, complete with ingredients and instructions. To save from food sites that aren't featured in the app, there's an option to add a new recipe in the app by pasting in the link. Then you can organize them the same way you organize the other recipes you've saved on the app.

This has been a game-changer, since most of the recipes I save on Instagram or TikTok often get forgotten when it actually comes time to figure out what to cook.

Every Recipe You Love, All in One Place

If you already have a MyRecipes account, the recipes you've saved will be waiting for you when you log in to the app. If you want to access additional features like saving recipes from Instagram and TikTok, the MyRecipes+ paid membership is for you (try a seven-day free trial before committing). If you're totally new to MyRecipes, don't worry: You can sign up after you download the app.

MyRecipes can also help you find more of what you love with personalized recipe recommendations. When you go into the app, you'll see Top Picks for You, based on your saves. You can also see the top 10 recipes from the week, so you'll know what other MyRecipes users are saving and discover some new recipes you might want to try.

And if you're not sure what to do with, say, the pound of ground beef in your fridge, you might find inspiration from a Featured Collection, like 20 Easy Ground Beef Dinners for Busy Nights . Or if you're trying to figure out some healthy, satisfying lunches for the week, you might look at 30 High-Fiber Lunches . Hosting a crowd? There are collections for that, too, like 40 Crowd-Pleasing Potluck Recipes .

See It. Save It. Cook It.

Another benefit of the MyRecipes app comes when it's time to cook. Not only are the ingredients and directions easy to read, but the app is always in "cook mode," keeping your screen awake while you prep and sauté. I love this feature—especially when I'm making something that requires getting my hands dirty! (I'm looking at you, turkey meatballs .)

What Are You Waiting For?

If, like me, you love having your recipes organized and easy to scan through for meal ideas, you'll want to download the MyRecipes app and start using it right away. It will simplify how you save recipes from websites and social media. Plus, it will help you discover new recipes and be your sidekick as you cook your way through all your favorites.
