In a Nutshell

  • MyRecipes, the recipe-saving and organizing tool, is now a mobile-friendly app for Apple and Android phones.

  • Save Serious Eats recipes, along with recipes from countless other cooking sites, then sort and organize those recipes so you don't forget them later.

  • The app is free, but an optional MyRecipes+ membership unlocks an ad-free experience and lets you save recipes from social platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

Being able to save recipes has long been a feature request from Serious Eats readers—I know, because my inbox has been on the receiving end of [email protected] emails for years. (If I never responded to your thoughtful email, please accept my sincere apologies.) That need was met last year, when People Inc, the publishing company that owns Serious Eats, released MyRecipes , a recipe collection and organization tool that works not only with Serious Eats, but with countless other recipe sites.

Today, I have an important MyRecipes update: It's now also an app. Available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the MyRecipes app makes it even easier than before to save, browse, and categorize recipes you love or hope to make one day. The app couldn't come at a better time—most of us are on our phones far more than on desktop computers, so expanding MyRecipes beyond a web-based service makes mobile use much more seamless.

The app is free to download and use, but an upgraded MyRecipes+ membership tier offers two nice features. First, it removes the ads. Perhaps even more appealing, it allows you to save recipes not only from your favorite cooking sites (um, your numero uno is Serious Eats, right?), but also from social creators on Instagram and TikTok. So the next time you're doomscrolling and come across a recipe video you'd like to remember, you can just share it directly to the MyRecipes app for easy future access in one centralized place.
