Is Babbel free?
Babbel isn't a free service, but new users can get their first lesson free, so they can trial the platform before they commit to a plan. You'll get your first lessons per language free - just create or sign in to an account, then start a lesson through the browser. After you've completed your first session, you'll be asked to pay for a subscription if you want to continue with the service.
How much is a Babbel plan?
How much you'll pay for a Babbel plan depends on any active promotions and the length and type of plan you pick. Customers can choose group and individual plans, as well as a business option, with monthly, 3-month, 6-month, yearly and lifetime plans available.

Is there a Babbel student discount?
Yes, all college students can get a discount on 3-months Babbels plans, bringing the total price down to $15.99 (which is $5.33 a month, or 75% off), as well as 65% off 12-month plans. To access these offers, you just need to verify your status as a US resident enrolled at a US college via ID.Me.
Does Babbel offer refunds?
All Babbel customers can make the most of the brand's 20-day money back guarantee to get a full refund on their plan, so long as they contact the team before this period ends. Refunds may still be considered after the 20 days are up, but will be pro-rated based on the time left on your plan if approved. Watch out for purchases through the Apple Store, as these are subject to Apple's own returns policy (not Babbel's).
