Holding out for a cheap Kindle? Amazon has already listed record-low Kindle deals ahead of Prime Day

The second Amazon Prime Day sale of 2025 is set to take place next Tuesday and Wednesday, but the retailer is already teasing prospective shoppers with early deals. As you'd expect, own-brand devices are taking center stage, and you can already get some superb deals on Kindle ereaders.
Today's early Prime Day Kindle deals include record-low prices on the excellent Kindle Scribe, Paperwhite, and even the popular Kids variants. I've rounded up the best early deals in both the US and UK below.
Highlights include the high-end Scribe on sale for $299 (was $399) / £269 (was £379) , Kindle Kids models starting at $94 (was $129) / £84 (was £114) , and the excellent Colorsoft for a record-low price of £169 (was £239) in the UK .
Discounts on the standard Kindle and Paperwhite are currently absent from Amazon's early Prime Day deals. The retailer is likely waiting for next week's big sale to include offers on these popular models. With that said, today's early deals include record-low prices on Essentials and Signature edition bundles, which are fantastic if you're looking to pair up your device with handy accessories.
Note that some of the early Prime Day Kindle deals require you to be a Prime member for access. If you're not a member, then you can sign up for a free 30-day trial at no cost. That will cover you for next week's big sale, too.

This Essentials bundle gets you everything you need with the excellent Kindle Paperwhite, including a faux-leather case and power adaptor. At just $1 more than the standalone Kindle Paperwhite at Amazon, this is the lowest price yet for the Essentials bundle. If you're looking for a relatively cheap Kindle, then the Paperwhite is a good place to start with its larger seven-inch display, waterproof design, and adjustable warm-light filter. View Deal
Here's another early Prime-member exclusive deal, this time on the Signature bundle. This higher-end option includes not only a case and an upgraded 32GB capacity Paperwhite, but also a wireless charging dock. The cheapest Kindle deal on Amazon right now is this excellent discount on the latest Amazon Kindle Kids version. Simply put, this model is functionally the same as the standard Kindle but comes with a Kid-friendly cover, a six-month trial for Amazon Kids Plus, and an extended two-year warranty.
