Microsoft Expands Copilot With Deep Research, Podcasts, and More AI Tools

Microsoft has upgraded  Copilot significantly, adding many new tools. Deep Research lets users create detailed research reports by analyzing reliable sources online and gathering information into well-cited documents. Microsoft says Copilot can analyze and combine information from online sources or large amounts of documents and images.

Users can access five free queries monthly without needing a Microsoft account or subscription. Subscribers to Copilot Pro get unlimited queries and priority access.

The Podcasts tool turns files into audio summaries, just like a podcast. Not just this; it also lets users interact with the AI while listening, just like they're in a Q&A session. This helps them learn more and explore related topics. As a result, the experience becomes more engaging and flexible.

Other tools added to Copilot include Actions for performing tasks across apps, Memory for personalized data storage, Vision for image analysis, Pages for document creation and organization, Shopping for AI-driven shopping assistance integrated with Bing, and Copilot Search for enhanced browsing.

These updates come after similar features were introduced by competitors like Google Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT, as reported by Engadget.
