Apple's second audio announcement of the week, following the AirPods Max 2 reveal on Monday, is a new special-edition of its Powerbeats Pro 2 , this time made in partnership with Nike.

The two brands have worked together before on Apple Watch bands, and even an activity tracker called the Nike+iPod, released almost 20 years ago. This marks the first Nike-branded headphones produced in partnership with Apple and Beats.

The specs match the Powerbeats Pro 2 you've been able to buy since February 2025, but there are design changes here. You'll get a two-tone color option with matte black for the inner elements and a Volt yellow-green exterior.

There's also a Beats logo on the left earbud, while the right includes a Nike swoosh. The casing comes in the same colors with a speckled effect made from the Volt color. The inside of the lid features Nike's motto, "Just do it," so you read it every time you open your sports earbuds.

The Powerbeats Pro 2 in a case

Otherwise, expect the same Powerbeats Pro 2 headphones Apple has sold for the last year. That includes active noise cancellation (ANC), built-in heart rate monitoring, up to 45 hours of battery life, and five ear tip sizes to help them stay secure in your ears while working out.

PCMag's review of the Beats Powerbeats Pro 2, written by Christian de Looper, gave the headphones four out of five stars, noting that the bass-forward earbuds "excel at the gym."

He wrote, "The Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 fit securely, have long battery life, and accurately monitor your heart rate. We like their seamless compatibility with iPhones and Apple Health, as well as their easy-to-manage controls. More importantly, their sound signature is exciting, and their noise cancellation does a respectable job of toning down your surroundings."

Our criticisms of the headphones said the sound and ANC on the AirPods Pro 2 can be better, while we also criticized the high price. That price remains the same here for the Nike special edition, which cost $249.99.

You can buy the Nike x Beats Powerbeats Pro 2 from today through an early access lottery ; however, if you don't get through, you won't have long to wait, as both Apple and Nike plan to stock them from Friday, March 20.
