Onkyo Just Made It Easier for Audiophiles to Get Back Into CDs
The Japanese hi-fi icon is giving audiophiles a fresh reason to revisit their old CD collections.

The Onkyo DX-390 is one of two CD players that the Japanese hi-fi company still makes. It's not the brand's latest and greatest model. That's the Onkyo Icon C-30 , which was just announced last year and costs $400.

Instead, the Onkyo DX-390 is better suited to audiophiles with extensive CD collections who want long, uninterrupted listening sessions. That's because it has a 6-disc carousel, so you can load six CDs and they can each play right after the previous one.
On the flip side, the company's Icon C-30 only holds one CD at a time.

A 6-CD carousel
Another cool feature of this CD carousel is that you can swap CDs without interrupting what's playing. So you can technically keep swapping out CDs, playing new albums, without the music ever stopping.
But just because it's not as elite as the Icon C-30, Onkyo's DX-390 is very much a high-quality CD player. According to the brand, it's "incorporated decades of acoustic technology into the player to provide audiophile-grade sound for a new generation."

Save $75
The DX-390 isn't an inexpensive CD player by any means. Onkyo still sells it for $375, just $15 less than the brand's flagship model. However, for those interested in this retro-style CD player, there's a chance to score a really good deal right now.
Onkyo is currently discounting the DX-390 6-disc CD player by 20 percent. Normally $375, you can pick it up for $300 right now.
