PlayStation's Sonos-rivalling wireless speakers finally get a release date and pricing details

Sony has finally furnished us with more details on its PlayStation-branded wireless speakers, as revealed last September. That includes pre-order and full release dates, plus pricing.
The Pulse Elevate speakers were unveiled during a State of Play video feed in 2025 , but with the understanding that they would release in 2026. We didn't expect it to take so long, though.
Coming in two colour options, black and white, the speakers will be available to pre-order from 1 September 2026 in the UK, US and several Central European countries. They'll be available on the PlayStation store online.
Pricing stands at £199.99 / $219.99 / €219.99 a pair and they come with a wireless dongle to attach to a PS5 for ultra-low latency. They will also come with Bluetooth support for connection to a smartphone, PC or Mac.
Why are the speakers called "Pulse Elevate"
The clue to one of the speakers' main features lies in their name. Each speaker is designed to sit straight on a desktop or tilt backwards to "elevate" the audio to a listening position.
This allows them to mimic height channels for a wider soundscape.
They can also be connected to power via a cable or, thanks to housing rechargeable batteries, can be moved around a desk or even room to room. That's much like a Sonos Move 2 speaker, so you aren't restricted to using each Pulse Elevate with gaming.
However, when you do, you can also make use of their built-in microphone for multiplayer online play. That way you won't need a separate headset with a boom mic.
Each speaker comes with a woofer built-in too, so they should work fine without a separate subwoofer.
