The Q1 Meta are bookshelf speakers with a two-way bass-reflex design. And they are equipped with KEF's latest-generation Uni-Q driver, featuring its proprietary Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT).
This is the same driver-and-tech combo that KEF currently utilizes in its higher-end R Series Meta range and popular LS50 Meta hi-fi speakers.
The only caveat is that the Q1 Meta aren't the easiest bookshelf speakers to drive, requiring an amplifier that can handle a 4-ohm nominal load and deliver between 50 to 150 watts per channel.
