One of Sonos’s Best-Sounding Speakers Is Selling for Way Below Retail (Last Chance)

Last week, Sonos ran an end-of-summer sale that dropped the price of several of its speakers, soundbars, and wireless subwoofers. One standout deals was on the Era 300 , which doesn't go on sale often.
The promotion officially ended yesterday (August 30th), but several third-party retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy and Crutchfield, are still running that same promotion. At the time of writing, it's unclear how long that will last.

Released in late 2023, the Era 300 is the most immersive standalone speaker that Sonos sells. That's because, unlike the Five, Era 100 or any other Sonos speaker, the Era 300 has a dedicated up-firing driver that's optimized for playing Dolby Atmos content.

The benefit of an up-firing driver is that music sounds more enveloping, like the sound isn't coming only from in front of you, but also above you. And, most major streaming services (including Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal) now support Dolby Atmos tracks, which gives you a more concert-like experience.

For home theater enthusiasts, the Era 300 also plays an important role, as you can buy two and designate them as rear channel speakers. When paired with the Arc Ultra soundbar (and two Sub 4 wireless subwoofers), it's the best Sonos surround sound system that you can build.
Normally $479, the sale drops the price of the Era 300 by $100. As mentioned, Sonos is no longer running this deal, but many third-party retailers (including Amazon).
It's unclear how long this promotion will last. So if you were thinking of purchasing, this might be your last chance to get a great deal for some time.
