Pixel 9a Renders Show No Elongated Chin but Massive Forehead, No Camera Bump

Leaked renders of the upcoming Google Pixel 9a are out on the internet. The renders show four color variants: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Peony (pink), and Iris (purple), as reported by Android Headlines. The device appears to get rid of the elongated "chin" bezel seen in Pixel 8a, only to be replaced by a massive forehead:

With the Pixel 9a , Google departs from its classic camera bar design, opting for a nearly flush camera module, similar to the phones we had in the late 2010s. There is still a slight protrusion, but it is negligible compared with previous models.

The phone's a bit bigger than before at 154 x 73 x 8.9mm. It's probably going to have a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Around the back, there's a new 48MP main camera (swapped out from the old 64MP) and a 13MP ultrawide. The front has a 13MP selfie cam tucked into the massive top bezel (I still can't get over it). It's powered by Google's Tensor G4 chip with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage options.

Google is set to officially announce the Pixel 9a on March 19, 2025, with pre-orders beginning on the same day. The phone will be priced at $499 for the base model (128GB) and $599 for the higher storage variant (256GB). It will officially go on sale starting March 26, 2025.
