Scottie Scheffler Keeps Winning — and So Does This Bold, Entry-Level Rolex
Fresh off his BMW Championship win, Scottie Scheffler is the latest superstar to sport a distinctive Rolex that's quickly becoming legendary.
Scottie Scheffler's incredible run shows no signs of slowing down. Over the weekend, the world No. 1 captured the BMW Championship , earning his fifth PGA Tour victory of the season — a feat that puts him alongside Tiger Woods as the only player in recent decades to rack up five-plus wins in back-to-back seasons.
Even more impressive, Scheffler once again staged a comeback, erasing a four-shot deficit after 54 holes to hoist another trophy.

As usual, given his status as an official brand ambassador for the crown, Scheffler celebrated with a Rolex on his wrist. But this time, the watch wasn't one of the better-known heavy hitters he's worn before — like the various green-colored
iterations of the Submariner — it was something more unexpected: the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 with a Coral Red dial (ref. 124300)

The sighting deserves attention not only because of the watch's bold, traffic-stopping hue but also because of the unique status this particular entry-level watch has achieved over the last five years.

While the pastel shades of the smaller 36mm versions
got much of the initial spotlight — especially Tiffany Blue, which added fuel to a runaway watch color trend
— the Coral Red 41mm was arguably the most daring of the bunch.
Bright red dials are just exceedingly rare in Rolex's catalog, and for good reason: they're loud and tend to clash with a wide array of other colors.
Rolex made quite the splash in 2020 when it unveiled a slew of brightly colored dial treatments for its entry-level Oyster Perpetual line. But that boldness is precisely why this reference is becoming so special. At its original MSRP of around $6,100, it was one of the most affordable ways into a modern, colorful Rolex.
When Rolex abruptly discontinued the colorway in 2022 , many collectors immediately realized they had a future classic on their hands.

This isn't even the first time Scheffler has flexed his Coral Red — he was seen in 2022 addressing the media at a PGA Tour event with the same watch. He's also been filmed wearing the piece in PGA Tour documentaries.

With its daring color, brief production window, and celebrity fan base, the Coral Red OP41 is well on its way to becoming one of the most collectible entry-level Rolexes of the 2010s.
