Samsung Launches PC Web Browser With Built-in Galaxy AI

On Thursday, Samsung announced that its Samsung Internet browser, which was previously available exclusively on mobile, has begun its beta rollout on PC. The company says users who have spent the last decade or so using the browser on their smartphones should now have access to a more connected browsing experience across their devices.

Samsung Internet for PC syncs users' browsing data, like bookmarks and history, from device to device. With Samsung Pass, users can securely sign in to websites or autofill profiles on both mobile and PC. The browser also prompts users to resume a browsing session when they switch from one device to another.

The new browser iteration includes Galaxy AI. When users log into their Samsung Accounts, they can use tools like Browsing Assist to summarize and translate webpages. An anti-tracking feature blocks third-party trackers from gathering personal information, while a Privacy Dashboard allows users to monitor and control their privacy in real time.

The company plans to add more intuitive browsing experiences to Samsung Internet for PC in the future. The beta version is now available on Windows 11 and Windows 10 (version 1809 and up) for users in the US and Korea.
