Battery Flyout, a third-party app for Windows 11, has just released a major update. The update introduces a new "Battery Report" button in the bottom-right corner of the app. When clicked, this button opens a window displaying a lot of information about the device's battery.

The report includes diagnostics such as battery health estimation, the total number of charge cycles, current and total battery capacity, voltage, and the estimated battery time remaining.

Not just this, but in addition to the current status, Battery Flyout also has historical data showing charge levels from the past week. This lets users gain insights into their battery usage patterns over time. The app also provides personalized recommendations for optimal charging habits and energy-saving tips, as reported by Neowin.

Users can now save their battery reports as XML or HTML documents for future reference or analysis. The update also adds quick access to system settings for power and battery management.

Battery Flyout is available for purchase in the Microsoft Store for $2.99.

This update comes just in and around the same time as Microsoft announced plans for a redesigned battery indicator in Windows 11, similar to what we have on iPhones. All told, the updated Battery Flyout app seems to add many useful features to Windows 11 for those looking fordetailed battery analysis and management.
