A free tool is seeing increased adoption among users who want to install Windows 11 on devices that don't technically meet Microsoft's official hardware requirements. Called Flyoobe (previously Flyby11), the tool lets users manage the prevalence of AI features such as Copilot , offering a more personalized user experience.

On Monday, Flyoobe released version 1.10 , bringing a major update to its Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE). Users can now disable Copilot and other AI features from the very start. The Flyoobe team also said version 1.10 introduces new power modes, restructured navigation, naming conventions that more closely match the Windows style, tweaks to File Explorer, and more. PowerShell automation is also possible, letting users run their own scripts, PCWorld reports .

Flyoobe is free and can be downloaded directly from its GitHub page. While similar tools have allowed people to bypass hardware checks and install Windows 11 on incompatible devices in the past, the level of customisation this one offers seems next-level. Not many people are fans of overwhelming AI integration, especially as Copilot is infused into everyday Windows tools and tasks. Flyoobe could offer some users a break.
