I've searched through all of today's offers and picked out the 15 best deals I recommend if you're shopping for a new device – whether that's a cheap Chromebook for school or a performance powerhouse for all of your productivity needs. Leading the way is this HP OmniBook X Flip for $499.99 (was $899.99) at Best Buy . That upfront $400 saving is incredible, and even more so when you see the powerful spec, useful versatility and excellent battery life of the machine. It's the bargain of the sales so far.

Boasting an efficient AMD Ryzen AI 5 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD for storage, that's everything you need for general use, multitasking and some more demanding needs. Plus, you can flip with device around into tablet mode and use the 14-inch touchscreen display to more easily navigate and watch videos.

Elsewhere, I also like the look of the Dell 15 Laptop at Dell for $249.99 (was $379.99) if you need a cheap Windows laptop, this HP OmniBook 5 at Amazon for $599.99 (was $779.99) as another powerful, modern and efficient device, and the MacBook Air 13-inch (M4) at Best Buy for $799 (was $999) – the record-low price for Apple's latest and greatest laptop.

This HP Chromebook 14 is a basic device, but it's cheap, making it a great buy for light use such as general browsing and schoolwork. It also boasts full-day battery life thanks to the lean but perfectly functional Chrome OS from Google, meaning it's best suited for students or those always on the move. Chromebooks tend to be the better choice in this price range as they offer better value for money and get stronger performance from relatively cheaper components. Nevertheless, I think this Asus Vivobook 14 is a surprisingly good low-cost Windows laptop. It has a fairly low-end spec with 8GB of RAM and an Intel i3 processor, but that's enough to cover the basics – it's just a shame there's a miserly 128GB of storage.
