All Blood of Dawnwalker romance options guide
When starting any RPG, the big question on most people's lips is "Who can I romance?", and thankfully, The Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't disappoint in that department. While it doesn't have a massive array of romancable characters – with just three to choose from – they all have deep and fully fleshed-out stories that will make you earn your romantic scenes with them.
We'll walk you through all three options and what steps you need to take to romance them.

Can you romance multiple characters in Blood of Dawnwalker?
Before we begin, it's important to note that, yes, you can romance all three charactersin a single playthrough. There are no consequences for having multiple romances on the go at once, and you can see all three scenes without them interfering with each other.
Anca – Blood of Dawnwalker romance

Source: Bandai Namco Entertainment
It's pretty obvious Anca is a romance option right from the word go, as you can start flirting with her almost immediately. Generally, Dawnwalker doesn't punish you for being aggressive with the flirting, and no random dialogue option is going to completely lock you out of getting to be intimate with someone, so flirt away.
The main thing to romance Anca (and indeed all three characters) is to pursue her questline to completion. Even key choices like whether you should let Anca finish the ritual don't affect your ability to romance her, so feel free to choose what you wish there.
The key moments are during Stronger Than Achilles, where you must make the following choices:
-
Put your own hand in the hole
-
When Anca reveals she wants to use the font, select the dialogue options, "I'd do anything for you" and "I love you"
By the end of the quest, whether you use the font for yourself or let Anca use it doesn't affect anything, but letting Anca use it will give her the happier ending.
Assuming you confessed your love in the dungeon earlier, when you return to Anca's hideout at the inn, you will now be able to make your final move:
-
Discuss your earlier confession of love
-
Anca will push back; select "I beg to differ"
-
She pushes back again; select "Screw decency, I want you too," and a romance scene will play out.
Crake – Blood of Dawnwalker romance

Source: Bandai Namco Entertainment
Yes, never fear, Coen can be gay in this game. Crake is the leader of the Manumits and one of Coen's key allies in the fight against Brencis, so a romance with him is inevitable, even in a time period where being gay was socially unacceptable.
Like Anca, you need to complete his questline if you want the chance to romance him. It's unlockable very early on, as the game prompts you to head to the mill right out of the prologue. Follow that questline, and Crake will find you eventually.
Here, you can make the decisions you want throughout the questline without impacting your ability to romance Crake, and there are no prerequisite dialogue options. Instead, it will all come to a head during the quest, A Closer Look, where Crake will run out of the city in anger, and Coen will have to pursue him.
Find him outside the city and chat with him by the fire. Here, you'll learn everything about Crake's backstory that he's been keeping hidden. At its culmination, you'll get the option to select the dialogue "Hey, nothing can change the way I see you."Do so, and Crake will try to kiss you. Coen initially backs off, but you then get the choice of whether or not to accept or reject the kiss.
Accept, and Crake's romance scene will play.
Lacra – Blood of Dawnwalker romance

Source: Bandai Namco Entertainment
Lacra is your other main ally in the fight against Brencis, and she too can be romanced. Like Crake, you just need to complete her questline up to the point before confronting Brencis, and there aren't any choices along the way that make a difference. Even though she seems annoyed with you if you view her memories after she asks you not to, it won't stop you from romancing her later.
With Lacra, the key moment is towards the end of The Night of Horrors, where Lacra will offer you to eat the Mandrake Flower. Accept, and subsequently accept the offer to drink Lacra's blood. This will initiate the game's…"messiest" romance scene.
