Final Fantasy Resonance Demo Out Now, Sephiroth Confirmed As A Boss
Square Enix released a free Final Fantasy Resonance demo today during PlayStation's September 3 State of Play , alongside confirmation that Sephiroth will appear in the game as a findable, challengeable boss.
The demo is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC ahead of the full game's October 22 launch.
What's in the Demo
The demo covers the entire first chapter of Final Fantasy Resonance , roughly three to five hours of gameplay according to Square Enix, and takes players through the opening of the story in the Kingdom of Grandshelt. Save data carries over to the full game at launch, so progress made in the demo isn't wasted once the complete release arrives.
Final Fantasy Resonance is the first new turn-based Final Fantasy console game in nearly a decade , and its HD-2D presentation renders cinematics through a process that turns 3DCG animation into pixel art, aiming for a modern take on classic pixel visuals.
