Ghost of Yotei: Most Wanted Brings Back Jin Sakai In New Roguelike Mode
Ghost of Yotei: Most Wanted , a new roguelike combat survival mode, is bringing back Ghost of Tsushima protagonist Jin Sakai as a playable character. Revealed during PlayStation's September 3 State of Play , the mode launches October 1 as part of Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition, timed to the game's one-year anniversary.
What is Ghost of Yotei: Most Wanted?
Most Wanted has players accept bounties against members of the Yotei Six, fighting through escalating waves of enemies and minibosses before a final confrontation with Lord Saito. Runs reward perks, upgrades, and cosmetics that carry over into the main game, and four characters are playable at launch: Atsu with her dual katanas and Ghost Tools, Oyuki with the kusarigama, Nagato with a yari, and Jin Sakai, who returns with his own signature moveset from Ghost of Tsushima .
Sucker Punch Senior Communications Manager Andrew Goldfarb described the mode as an extension of the game's existing combat systems rather than a separate experience bolted on.
Jin Sakai's inclusion also comes with a direct tie to his origins; players who purchase the Complete Edition upgrade before September 30 get an early unlock of the Sakai Armor for Atsu on October 1, a nod to his family's armor from Ghost of Tsushima .
Complete Edition Pricing and Echoes of Sekigahara
Most Wanted arrives alongside Echoes of Sekigahara , a narrative expansion that explores Atsu's past by weaving flashbacks to her time on the mainland into the main game's present-day story. It introduces Nagato, a character tied to that backstory, and covers both a new valley overrun by the Vipers gang and a look back at the Battle of Sekigahara itself.
New players can pick up Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition for $69.99, which includes the base game, the online co-op mode Ghost of Yotei Legends, previously released Digital Deluxe content, and both new pieces of content.
Existing owners can upgrade for $14.99 to add Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. A free patch launching the same day adds quality-of-life updates, including new Photo Mode stamps and accessibility options, available to all players, even those who don't purchase the upgrade at all.
