Will 'Grand Theft Auto VI' Come to Switch 2?

Will 'Grand Theft Auto VI' Come to Switch 2?

As a Nintendo superfan, I've been fed more than enough great games on the Switch 2. Even third-party support has been incredible for the newest Nintendo console. Elden Ring is coming out on the Switch 2, adding to an already robust library of titles that fans never thought could exist on a Nintendo system.

The biggest title of them all, though, is Grand Theft Auto VI . 13 years in the making, it's the most anticipated game in the history of the industry, and it's finally coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19. More previews and footage were released today, adding to the already-massive excitement for the adventure.

As a Nintendo fan, I do feel a little bit of FOMO regarding GTA VI. Why wouldn't I? It looks immersive, gigantic, and detailed in a way that should be impossible in a video game. If I decide to stick to Nintendo gaming only, is there any hope I'll ever get to play the game on Switch 2?

It's not looking like it at this point. The previous game in the series was never ported to either Switch console, which would have been a strong indicator that Rockstar would consider bringing the new game to Switch 2.

People wonder whether the Switch 2 has the hardware capabilities to run GTA VI. This is best left for the tech experts, but there is evidence that the Switch 2 has just as much horsepower as the Xbox Series S , and the game will be released on Xbox Series S in November on the launch day. This doesn't mean that Rockstar trusts the specs on the Switch 2.

The best bet would be for the game to come to Switch 2 many years down the road, maybe when there is a hardware update for the console or a port of the fifth game in the series to prove that Nintendo fans would want to buy it.
