Mind Diver Swims Onto PlayStation 5 And Switch 2 On August 27

Mind Diver , the award-winning murder mystery adventure from Indoor Sunglasses, is diving onto consoles.
Publisher PLAYISM has announced the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 on August 27, 2026, bringing its story of fractured memories and quiet heartbreak to a new audience nearly a year after its original PC launch.
A Broken Mind, A Missing Boyfriend
Mind Diver centers on Lina, whose boyfriend Sebastian vanishes without explanation, leaving her with rapid-onset amnesia that erases her memory of what happened.
With the police investigation stalled, players step in as a Mind Diver, using experimental technology to plunge into Lina's deteriorating subconscious and reconstruct the truth before her memories disappear for good.
That subconscious takes the form of a "Mind Ocean" spread across eight deteriorating Regions, each holding incomplete snapshots of Lina's past. Players scan more than 130 Echoes, fully voiced artifacts containing fragments of conversation, and fill in Memory Holes using more than 700 possible objects pulled from the scene around them.
Case files help narrow down a list of suspects and their motivations, while a running Memory Log lets players cross-reference every conversation they've uncovered to piece together the full, tragic shape of Lina and Sebastian's story.
An Obra Dinn -Inspired Detective Story
Mind Diver 's creators are very upfront about the inspiration of their game, the mystery cult hit Return of the Obra Dinn .
" Mind Diver tells a story about human connection filled with emotional highs and lows," says Indoor Sunglassess Lead Developer and Co-Founder Victor Breum, describing the game as an examination of how life can unexpectedly go awry.
The studio has been open about its influences, citing Return of the Obra Dinn as a major inspiration, a nod that clearly resonated: Obra Dinn creator Lucas Pope played an early demo and praised the game's visuals, mechanics, and "extremely compelling" mystery setup.
Since launching on PC via Steam in September 2025, Mind Diver has built a strong reputation, currently holding a Very Positive user rating on Steam.
The game was also nominated for Best Student Game at IGF 2023 back when it began as a university project, before going on to win the Innovation Award at GDWC 2024 in its fuller commercial form.
Console Release Details
Mind Diver launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 for $17.99, matching its existing PC price, with language support covering English, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Spain), Danish, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, and Chinese in both Simplified and Traditional forms.
Indoor Sunglasses, a worker-owned indie studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark, developed the game as its first commercial title, while PLAYISM, Japan's oldest indie publisher, handles publishing duties, continuing a partnership that has also brought over titles like Gnosia, Ib, and The Exit 8 to Western audiences.
