Nintendo Direct June 2026 recap: Announcements, games and more
Nintendo Direct June 2026 has happened! And that meant we heard about some gaming news from the company that dropped some seriously awesome titles and previews that had funs abuzz.
We're followed along live and threw in updates as it aired, and it answered our hopes that we'll get some news about a certain Zelda title and something more about the Star Fox (which is awesome for fans of the character who showed up in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ).
Here's a recap of the announcements as they rolled out. It was a great day for Nintendo fans:
Kingdom Hearts 4 is on its way
Presenting another look at the latest instalment in the Kingdom Hearts series.
Kingdom Hearts IV will launch simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Epic Games Store and Steam!

It's the moment that finished the stream and one that everyone was waiting for. No word on the official drop date, but it's coming in 2026.
Minecraft will launch on Switch 2 "later this year"
No word on an exact launch date.
Deltarune Chapter 5 has fans so pumped
Fans in the comments of the YouTube stream were calling for new Deltarune, and there's a free update coming June 24, 2026.
Final Fantasy Resonance is coming for all you FF diehards
That'll drop on Oct. 22, 2026.
Star Fox free demo will launch on Tuesday
The game is coming on June 25, 2026, but as someone who played the OG Star Fox , I'm pumped.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort is arriving for Switch 2 (this one's for Wii lovers)
I played an earlier version of this for the Nintendo Wii, with tennis, archery, golf and bowling among the sports available.
There's a DK Challenge event coming
If you're a Donkey Kong fan, this one's for you with Nintendo Switch Online, with cards you can gather for completing challenges.
Ninjala 2: The Uncharted Planet on Nintendo Switch gets a preview
That's coming in 2027. It's a game in which you're a ninja and you use gum to travel around and summon creatures.
Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is coming soon
That's launching on Sept. 17 2026.
Pokemon Pokopia gets a software update in August 2026
There's also an expansion pass coming with Bubbly Basin, that'll be available on Tuesday.

There's been some buzz about it , as our Mary Clarke wrote about:
"An infamous leaker Nate The Hate recently got some big-time reveals right and now the YouTuber has predicted that the Ocarina of Time remake will get screentime at the June Nintendo Direct."
