'Wolverine,' 'Final Fantasy VII: Revelation' highlight PlayStation State of Play

Sept. 3 (UPI) -- PlayStation released new trailers for Wolverine and Final Fantasy VII: Revelation during a State of Play livestream on Thursday.

Wolverine slices and dices through robotic enemies known as Sentinels in the new clip.

The Sentinels are classic X-Men foes who hunt mutants down. Wolverine also encounters his rival Sabretooth and teams up with Mystique and Jean Grey to fight off the Sentinel threat.

Wolverine comes exclusively to PlayStation 5 on September 15.

Final Fantasy VII: Revelation , the third and final part of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, will be released on April 8, 2027, a new trailer announced.

The team behind the game at Square Enix also detailed new gameplay features such as the ability to freely fly around the map. Players can drop into any location with their preferred party members.

Revelation , like previous entries, will have a multitude of side activates for players to experience as they continue playing through the story.

PlayStation also announced that a set of Grand Theft Auto VI themed PlayStation 5 controllers are coming on November 19. The controllers come in black or white and feature the game's logo with palm trees on the touchpad.
