PlayStation Store Summer Sale Has Big Games as Much as 90% Off
As cost to play becomes a major concern across the video game landscape, Sony is offering some relief via a major sale at the PlayStation Store for the rest of July and beyond.
The list of games marked down is massive , and so are some of the markdowns themselves.
Sports, shooters, strategy games and more on sale
Overall, PlayStation Store's Summer Sale has something for everyone.
When more than 6,000 games on sale , that can't help but be true, but if you're looking for total value, a few titles stand out.
Those includes NBA 2k26 ($6.99), Batman: Arkham Collection ($5.99), Gotham Knights ($6.99), Mortal Kombat 11 ($4.99), EA Sports PGA Tour ($6.99) and Mass Effect Legendary Edition ($5.99) are all a staggering 90% off.

Fun for the family
Value-conscious moms and dads might also want to jump on this sale for the chance to add a game or two they can play with a younger family member.
That notably includes 2024 Game of the Year Astro Bot available for $39.59, 34% off the usual price.
Others in this category include Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, It Takes Two & A Way Out, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Overcooked! All You Can Eat and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
A great time to save
The PlayStation Store Summer Sale is set to run through Aug. 12 with more discounts expected to drop later this month.
It arrives under the backdrop of rising concerns over cost across the gaming industry.
That includes Sony raising the base price of the PS5 and new game releases checking in at higher price points, including the upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI ($79.99 standard edition).
Nintendo gamers have experienced the same issues with the price of the Switch 2 set to rise to $499.99 later this year and first exclusive games for that system retailing at $79.99.
With all that in mind, this figures to be one of the best times to stock up on games, joining Black Friday sales that can be expected to return in November.
Black Friday could be preferable for those who still would rather have physical games, however.
