Another week down, and, per usual, a bunch of new tech and gadgets have been announced.
This past week, Sennheiser introduced its latest flagship wireless earbuds, Esoteric revealed a $50,000 turntable and Rotel announced its first loudspeakers in several decades. But that's just scratching the surface.
Below, we've rounded up all the most interesting new releases and announcements you might have missed from the past week.
Fiio CP11
The Fiio CP11 is a portable cassette tape player with a lightweight and pocketable design. The company describes it as having "an all-new ultra-thin mechanism, higher-quality magnetic head, brushless motor, brand-new motor servo drive and circuit design, plus Bluetooth transmission functionality." Price information has not yet been revealed (though it's likely in the $100 ballpark), but Fiio aims to release it by the end of 2026. read more
Esoteric T-01
The Esoteric T-01 is smaller and more affordable version of the brand's $80,000 Grandioso T1 turntable. It isn't a conventional belt-drive or direct-drive turntable; instead, it uses the brand's patented "Esoteric MagneDrive System," a non-contact drive system that uses magnetic force to rotate the turntable platter rather than physical components. It's an extreme method to isolate the record from vibrations typically caused by the motor. The company says the T-01 "achieves extraordinary rotational silence, stability, and high-torque performance, revealing music with uncompromising precision, energy, and realism." read more
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 5
Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 5 is its new flagship wireless earbuds with active noise-cancellation for 2026. The earbuds have a more aerodynamic design and pack 7mm TrueResponse dynamic drivers. They have improved Bluetooth 6.0 (and support aptX Lossless) for hi-res streaming up to 24-bit/96 kHz, while adaptive hybrid ANC and Dolby Atmos head-tracking round out the feature set. The standout engineering move: user-replaceable batteries in both the earbuds and Qi charging case. read more
Rotel Amora 5
Rotel's Amora 5 is the company's first pair of loudspeakers in several decades. The bookshelf speakers have a 2-way bass-reflex design, pairing a 1-inch silk dome tweeter with a 6.5-inch woven fiber composite driver. With 87dB sensitivity and an 8-ohm nominal impedance, they work comfortably with amplifiers rated 30–120 watts. Available in matte black or matte white, it suits both dedicated Rotel systems and broader hi-fi setups. read more
Technics SL-1200 (55th Anniversary Edition)
Technics marks 55 years of the SL-1200 series with this limited-edition turntable. It's built on the same platform as the brand's current SL-1200MK7, and comes in seven different colored finishes: gold, blue, red, black, green, white and grey. Unlike the standard models, the Anniversary Editions have gold details throughout. Only 12,000 units will be made. read more
Pro-Ject Audio E1.2 BT
Pro-Ject's E1.2 BT is a new variant of the company's entry-level turntable, which was released in 2025. It's the same turntable as the E1.2, but with a Bluetooth transmitter that lets you stream vinyl to wireless speakers or headphones. In addition to the three standard finishes (black, white, and wood), the E1.2 BT is also available in more colorful satin hand-painted finishes, such as yellow and dark blue. read more
Monitor Audio Silver Series 8G (Range)
Monitor Audio's Silver Series 8G is a seven-model loudspeaker lineup built around a fully redesigned technology platform aimed at uncompromising hi-fi performance. The range spans compact bookshelf speakers, 3-way floorstanders, an on-wall option and Dolby Atmos-ready height modules — covering both two-channel and immersive multi-channel setups. Cabinets wear sustainably sourced European Walnut veneer, engineered from real wood without tapping rare or endangered timber. It's a compelling full-family refresh for serious listeners building a high-performance system from the ground up. read more
Analogue Pocket (Supreme Edition)
Analogue has collaborated with Supreme to release a limited edition of its Pocket. The handheld console works just like the standard Pocket, and is capable of natively playing Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance cartridges. But this edition comes in two new finishes: one in Supreme's signature glossy red and one in 24-karat gold. Naturally, each these special-edition consoles is expected to be more expensive than the standard Pocket, which goes for $240 and now comes in many different finishes. At the time of writing, pricing has not yet been announced. read more
