FAQs

What Subscription Plans are Available at Autodesk?

Autodesk offers a variety of subscription plans tailored to meet the needs of individual users, small businesses, and large enterprises, with prices depending on what you're signing up for. For example, Revitplans cost $380 paid monthly, or $3,005 for an annual plan (around $250 per month, or just under 30% off).

Meanwhile, AutoCADplans are available paid monthly, yearly or on 3-year plans. Paying monthly will cost you $260 every month, whilst an annual plan comes in at $2,095 - equivalent to around $175 per month, or 30% off. You can also pay $6,285 for a 3-year plan, which comes in at the same price.

What is Autodesk Flex?

Autodesk Flex is the brand's pay-as-you-go model designed to suit occasional, part-time, or project-based use of its software. Users can sign up to receive a set balance of pre-paid tokens, which are then redeemed for 24-hour sessions with the brand's software.

Different software tends to cost a different amount of tokens per session - for example, AutoCAD usually costs around 7 tokens per day, whilst Revit usually costs 10 tokens. Should you run out of tokens, you can top up via token bundles (usually a minimum of 33 tokens).

If you don't use Autodesk often, or are a business providing it for freelancers, this may be a more cost-effective way to sign up than a full subscription. Note that tokens must be used within 1 calendar year or they expire.

How do I transfer my Autodesk license to a new computer?

You can transfer your license by signing out of the software on your old computer and signing in on your new computer. Ensure you have an active internet connection to complete the transfer.

How do I manage my Autodesk subscription?

Subscriptions can be managed through the Autodesk Account portal. Here, users can view their subscriptions, update payment information, renew subscriptions, and access software downloads.

Autodesk Saving tips

Look for seasonal sales

Look for seasonal promotions, such as Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Back-to-School sales, when Autodesk often offers significant discounts on all of its subscription plans. These can offer as much as 70% off selected plans. Here at TechRadar, we watch software sales closely, and will be adding any and all seasonal savings Autodesk has to offer to this page as we find them - head back here around the holidays to see what the brand has in store.

Opt for a longer plan

To take advantage of significant discounts, opt for annual or multi-year subscription plans instead of monthly plans. These tend to discount monthly costs by as much as 30%, helping you save significant amounts in the long run if you know it's the service for you.

Get a student discount

Autodesk offers free software for students and educators. Ensure you have a valid academic email address to access these offers. If you're part of an educational institution, check if your school or university has institutional licenses that you can use.

How we source coupon codes

Whether it's through our affiliate networks, the depths of the world wide web, or our connections with big name brands, here at TechRadar we use every tool at our disposal to source the latest codes. Our coupons team updates each of our pages multiple times a week with the most recent deals, including exclusive coupons negotiated by our Commercial team. We also include the latest sales info directly from retailers to offer the most up-to-date discounts around.

How we test coupon codes

Each coupon you find on TechRadar has been tested before being uploaded by our dedicated Deals & Offers teams. You'll see a range of offers, from free shipping to student discounts, with savings available on all kinds of products & services. To make sure every coupon is ready to use, we don't list any user-specific or one-time codes.

We also include all relevant information about coupons, such as expiry dates and any terms & conditions, near the 'Get Code' button. You can see the details for an individual offer by clicking on the 'Terms & Conditions' text below the code and expanding the code area.

What to do if a coupon code doesn't work

Although we do our best to ensure all listed codes are tried & tested, sometimes coupons expire or terms & conditions are changed before we can update pages. Our team works hard to make sure our coupons are active and work as intended, and should you encounter an issue when using one, we'll work just as hard to help.

The best place to start is by checking the requirements. Click "View terms and conditions" to expand the code section and see any guidance on your chosen coupon. For example, you may need to meet a minimum spend, add other items to your basket to qualify for a multibuy offer, or confirm that your chosen code applies to the items in your basket (i.e. 10% off laptops).

If you're still having issues using your code, you can email our customer service team on [email protected] . Include as many details as possible - such as which code you used and which coupon page it's listed on so our team can address your issue as fast as possible.

How we make money

When it comes to coupons, TechRadar earns money via a commission-based model. For every brand we have a coupon page for, we've negotiated a deal that means we earn a percentage of total basket value in commission back from every order.

Using this model means we can offer our coupons to our customers free of charge. You won't pay any fees to add your chosen coupon to your basket - you'll simply pay the final order total once your discount has been applied.
