Best Buy: Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Sales Will Be Online-Only

No need to camp out. Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5070 Ti launches on Feb. 20, but Best Buy tells PCMag it'll only be selling the products online — not in stores. 

Interested customers can expect Best Buy and Newegg to start offering the graphics card as early as 6 a.m. PST on Thursday, according to an earlier post from Nvidia. 

But in some bad news, it looks like the starting price for the RTX 5070 Ti has increased by over $100 when it was supposed to start at $749. Best Buy's own site currently lists 10 different models, and all range in price from $869 to as high as $999. 

Only Micro Center and Newegg are listing an RTX 5070 Ti model from Asus for $749. Nvidia is also refraining from releasing a Founders Edition RTX 5070 Ti, which always sells at the starting price. 

The high costs might be due to Trump's 10% tariffs on Chinese-manufactured goods. Still, the lack of any RTX 5070 Ti units at $749 is already causing many reviewers to slam the GPU as too pricey, especially since the more powerful RTX 5080 starts at $999. 

The only problem is that both the RTX 5080 and 5090 have been selling out instantly , including at Best Buy, which has been offering the GPUs through online-only sales. There's no word on when Best Buy will start selling the products at physical stores. But Micro Center locations will carry the RTX 5070 ti in stores on launch day.
