CES 2025 amps up keynote with big plans for Sphere presentation in January
LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — CES will use Sphere to stage its keynote address at its 2025 convention, with the CEO of Delta taking the audience on an immersive journey highlighting the airline's "vision for using technology to enrich human experiences."
The added interest that comes with Sphere is proving to be a revolution for routine events — from convention speeches to early voting . It could turn the keynote address into one of the hottest tickets at CES, which brought 138,739 participants to Las Vegas last year.
Delta CEO Ed Bastion's "keynote experience" is at 5 p.m. on Jan. 7, open only to credentialed CES attendees. A separate ticket will be required for the event, according to a Sphere news release. Registration for CES 2025 is open now.

Delta will use Sphere's Exosphere – the world's largest LED screen – as well as the interior display plane, which is the world's highest-resolution LED screen. Officials said the advanced audio system, dubbed Sphere Immersive Sound, will be part of the experience.
Who's next at Sphere? Talk swirls around country … and a woman
It's not the first time for a business event at Sphere. Hewlett Packard got the ball rolling on June 18 in an event that observers said " gave attendees a glimpse into the future of keynote events. "
"Technology is a powerful tool, but it's people that make true innovation possible," Bastion said. "We're on the brink of a new era, and I can't think of a better way to demonstrate how the Delta team will leverage cutting-edge advancements to propel our next century of flight."
At CES 2023, Delta announced free onboard Wi-Fi access for SkyMiles members. CES 2025 will be Delta's third CES appearance.
Sphere to get second location in Abu Dhabi
CES — the official name for the convention after being known as the Consumer Electronics Show for years — is produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).

"After celebrating CTA's centennial year, we recognize what a pivotal time this can be for an organization and we are thrilled Delta is sharing part of this special moment with us at CES," Gary Shapiro, CTA's CEO said. "We know Delta has the vision to continue disrupting how we travel by leaning into technology and I can't wait to see how they bring that to life at Sphere. The sky is the limit."
Sphere's president and COO Jennifer Koester echoed that enthusiasm.
"Sphere is a powerful platform for brands to connect with key audiences, leveraging next-generation technologies to boldly deliver a one-of-a-kind experience and amplify their message," Koester said.
"The teams at Sphere, Delta, and CES share a passion for innovation and storytelling, and this keynote is going to be unlike anything this audience has ever experienced before," she said.
