The resulting playlist can be nostalgic - or awkward - depending on what users listened to during the unspecified period, so users are wondering if they still have time to listen to more and skew their results.

When does Spotify Wrapped come out?
Although this year's release date is still a surprise, previous years suggest that it could be in November. The last six years have either been released in November or December.
When does Spotify stop tracking your data?
For the last few years, Spotify has been tracking music information into November, and they're keeping that record this year as well.
On the last day of October, the platform posted a message saying, "Spotify Wrapped doesn't stop counting on October 31st." This opens the door to November, but it does not confirm when Spotify Wrapped stops tracking listener data.

What is Spotify Wrapped?
Established in 2016, Spotify Wrapped is an annual campaign that combines Spotify user listening data into an interactive display of the user's most listened-to music.
Typically, Spotify Wrapped displays a user's top songs, artists and genres. Users are encouraged to share their Spotify Wrapped on social media. The streaming platform also creates a playlist with a user's 100 most streamed songs and shares fun facts, like whether they're in the top 1% of Taylor Swift's listeners or their music aura.
User data is collected from Jan. 1 through the fall of that same year to produce a user's Spotify Wrapped.
