You’ll love DeWALT's unstoppable new 12-inch Cut-off Saw
We recently highlighted some exciting new DeWALT tools coming in 2026 , and this week, ahead of the annual World of Concrete Expo, the popular tool brand unveiled a few more impressive products. Sometimes you need a tool that's extra tough and powerful, and that's where the new DeWALT POWERSHIFT 12-inch Cut-Off Saw comes to save the day.
DeWALT is widely recognized for its impressive collection of bright yellow tools, most notably the more than 300+ options in its 20V lineup. And while that is its most popular platform, it's hardly the only one. DeWALT offers tools in 12V, 20V, and 60V , along with several subcategories tailored to specific jobs or trades.
DeWALT POWERSHIFT 12-inch Cut-Off Saw
A prime example of DeWALT's efforts in specific jobs or trades is Powershift. Everything in the Powershift lineup delivers gas-like performance with the convenience of cordless, especially when it comes to concrete work or construction.
In a press release ahead of the Concrete Expo in Las Vegas on January 20-22nd, DeWALT unveiled two new items for the Powershift platform that it thinks customers will absolutely love. The main attractions are its new 12-inch Cut-Off Saw (DCPS612AG2) and the 1-1/8 in. Hex Demolition Hammer (DCPS966AG2), both delivering unmatched performance.
According to DeWALT, this new addition is the most powerful 12 or 14-inch cordless cut-off saw in the entire industry, across power sources—battery or gas—which is a bold statement. The saw tackles tough jobs, including cuts up to 4-3/4-inch deep through concrete, ductile iron, rebar, and more. A single charge allows for upwards of 156 cuts in #5 rebar, or eight linear feet of concrete.
Considering the Powershift line isn't geared at regular customers or hobbyists, it makes sense if you've never heard of it. That said, each DeWALT Powershift tool packs a large 554Wh battery, an extremely rugged design, and is "built for the unbreakable." Some of those include compactors, cut-off wheels, rammers, power screeds, coring drills, and more.
The company also announced an upgraded 20V MAX brushless Duplex Nailer, new cordless chemical sprayer tools, and several other additions.
While this new 12-inch Cut-Off Saw sounds great, DeWALT's upcoming 1-1/8 in. Demo Hammer will likely gain some attention, too. The company hasn't shared many details yet, like a release date or pricing, but we can expect to learn more next week as the World of Concrete show kicks off.
