It is fair to speculate that only the words "Water Resistant" and "Automatic" have graced more watch dials than Snoopy .
Charles Shultz created his charismatic, imaginative, moody cartoon beagle 75 years ago. Coincidentally, Orient–producer of pound-for-pound, the best affordable automatic dress watches on the market–was established in 1950 as well.

Orient does not often collaborate and rarely uses third-party branding on its dials. But there is no more fitting way to celebrate three-quarters of a century in watchmaking than joining the Snoopy watch club .
The limited edition collection consists of four watches, all sporting the 1950s script Orient logo, revived for the brand's first batch of anniversary watches earlier this year, on the dial. Above six o'clock, each reference has a drawing of Snoopy and his avian sidekick Woodstock.
The greatest Bambino
The Orient Bambino is an outlier. No other watch offers an impeccably classic dial, a reliable stainless steel case and a workhorse automatic movement for under $400, and it isn't even close.

Seven versions are available, and two of the limited edition Snoopy watches are based on the 38-millimeter Version 7. The dial has dash applied hour indices, sword hands and a small date window at three o'clock.
One reference has a white dial, and the other has a cream dial, both with the 1950s script Orient logo below 12 o'clock. Snoopy is lying on top of the script "Water Resistant," as he is known to on his dog house, with his ears drooping between the two words.
Woodstock is standing behind Snoopy, and wearing a much-too-large yellow crown on his head. The jovial little bird also makes an appearance once a month with his face representing one on the date counter.

The Orient Bambino is special because it is so attainable. All seven versions are available in a myriad of colors, and many can often be found selling for less than $300.
The white dial Snoopy Bambino is a limited edition of 7,650 pieces, and the cream dial is limited to 2,900 pieces. I believe that the touch of scarcity, combined with the unique dial, makes for the greatest Orient Bambino ever made.
But wait, there's more
Accompanying the two Bambino references are a white dial Mako Diver and an open-heart-dial model, reference RA-AR0011S. These two are limited editions of 3,650 pieces and 1,800 pieces, respectively.

The Mako Diver has a 40-millimeter case with a 200-meter dive rating. It features the same Snoopy and Woodstock drawing as the Bambinos, but with "20bar" added underneath "Water Resistant."
The scarcest and newest Orient model to get the Snoopy treatment is the reference RA-AR0011S. It is based on the Orient reference RA-AR0004S30B, which is currently unavailable for purchase anywhere.
Changing things up a bit, Snoopy rests at the bottom of the second counting sub-dial, with Woodstock flying above him in his crown. The 60 and 15 appear hand-drawn to match the characters.

All four Snoopy Orient watches feature a case back dual stamped with the Peanuts 75th Anniversary log and Orient's 75th Anniversary logo. Each watch has its individual number engraved around the rim of the case back, along with a little flying Woodstock.
